Living & Conference Space — 3D Design Concept

Project Overview

This project is a 3D design concept developed for a client looking to combine a lounge and conference area within a single open-plan space. Rather than treating the two functions as separate rooms, the design uses a continuous material language to make the space feel unified — dark walnut veneer running floor-to-ceiling across all walls, broken only by the millwork compositions built into them.

The entertainment and lounge side is anchored by a full-width TV wall with integrated backlit display shelving on either side. Black matte cabinetry frames the walnut panels and shelving cubes, with warm amber LED underlighting that gives the room its atmosphere in the evening. A low walnut bench runs the full width of the wall below the screen, providing both a display ledge and a visual base for the composition.

The opposite wall takes a different approach: a geometric pattern of diagonal black inlay lines is routed into the walnut panels, forming a bold surface graphic that conceals the joints between cabinet and door panels. Recessed black display niches emerge from within the pattern, backlit to highlight objects without interrupting the flow of the wall.

The conference zone shares the same walnut-wrapped walls but steps back in tone — a long meeting table and task chairs ground the room in function, while the floor-to-ceiling walnut storage wall behind provides context and storage without demanding attention.

The result is a space that moves fluidly between entertaining and working — two uses, one design language.
